Football-Club Bayern München also known as FC Bayern, Bayern Munich, or simply Bayern, is a German professional sports team with its headquarters in Munich, Bavaria. Its professional men's football team, which competes in the Bundesliga, the top division of the German football league system, is what makes it most well-known. With a record 32 national championships, including 10 straight since 2013, 20 national cups, and countless European awards, Bayern is the most successful club in German football history. Franz John was one of the eleven football players that created FC Bayern Munich in 1900.

Bayern won their first national championship in 1932, but the team was not included in the 1963 Bundesliga lineup. When Franz Beckenbauer served as the club's captain in the middle of the 1970s, it experienced its greatest success, winning the European Cup three times in a row (1974–1976). Bayern has won six total European Cup/UEFA Champions League championships (a German record), and it won its sixth title in the 2020 final as part of a seasonal treble, making it just the second club in Europe to accomplish the feat twice.

Bayern is one of the most successful European clubs worldwide and the only German team to have won both international championships. Bayern has also won one UEFA Cup, one European Cup Winners' Cup, two UEFA Super Cups, two FIFA Club World Cups, and two Intercontinental Cups. Five Ballon d'Or trophies, two Best FIFA Men's Player awards, four European Golden Shoe awards, three UEFA Men's Player of the Year awards, and the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year have all been won by Bayern players.

Bayern Munich became the second club in history to win the "sextuple" (winning the League, Cup, and Continental Champions League in one season followed by the Domestic Supercup, Continental Supercup, and Club World Cup in the following season) or all trophies that a club competes for in a given calendar year by winning the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup. Bayern Munich is the only German club to have won all three of UEFA's major club competitions. They are one of only five clubs to do so. Bayern Munich is currently rated #1 in the UEFA club rankings as of May 2022. The team has had long-standing rivalry with 1. FC Nürnberg, 1860 Munich, and Borussia Dortmund since the mid-1990s.

Bayern has held its home matches at the Allianz Arena since the start of the 2005–06 season. The team had previously spent 33 years competing at Munich's Olympiastadion. The team's colors are red and white, while the crest features the Bavarian flag in white and blue. With a valuation of €634.1 million in 2021, Bayern Munich will be the largest sports club in Germany and the third-highest-earning football club in the world, behind FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Bayern had 4,499 officially registered fan clubs with over 350,000 members as of November 2019 in addition to its 293,000 official members. With more than 1,100 active members, the club also features departments for senior football, chess, handball, basketball, gymnastics, bowling, and table tennis.
